Tony Johnson Family message
I wanted to pass on my sincere thanks on behalf of myself and my family for the wonderful and fitting tribute you and the other members of West Bridgford Hockey Club organised for my fathers funeral procession recently.

Hockey meant a lot to him, West Bridgford Hockey Club meant so much more.
His weekend revolved around the hockey club, whether it was playing and then propping up the bar, umpiring and then propping up the bar, conducting a pitch inspection and then propping up the bar, and on the rare occasions 'working' on the bar and then propping up the bar from the opposite side, the club was never far from his heart (or his home...!).
He made so many great friends there and so many happy memories and he would have been truly blown away to have seen the number of people that came to show their respect a few weeks back.

Thank you so much to you and anyone else involved in organising it and please pass on my thanks and gratitude to everyone who made the effort to come out to show their respect. It was an incredible sight to see so many familiar faces in full attire, hockey sticks and all, one that will stay with me and my family forever.

Finally a huge thanks to everyone who donated to the chosen charities. The donations to The Lake District Mountain Rescue Dogs amounted to nearly £1200. Being an entirely voluntary organisation the donations were greatly received and contribute towards helping them to continue their good work. The charity have been in touch and pass on their thanks.

Once again we are truly grateful for yours and everyone else who were involved, not only in organising and participating in the procession, but for being a part of my dads life.

We hope you are all well and wish you all the best for the future.

Regards,
Michael, Pip, Samantha & Rebecca.
